Honored and humbled! I am honored to be the 21st President of the Canadian Prairie Chapter of the Irrigation Association (CPCIA) for 2022 and humbled by the confidence bestowed on me by the membership to serve as a repeat president. Volunteering as a board director since 2016 and leading the Board of Directors as the first female president in 2018 have been both enriching and rewarding on the personal and professional levels. I take this opportunity to thank our past-president Don Laycraft and the 2021 Board of Directors, many of whom have been long term volunteers, for their energy, dedication, and flexibility as we navigated 2021; a year of planning, cancelling, adjusting, and replanning. Thank You, your efforts have not been unnoticed! I would like to welcome our new board members for their willingness to accept the challenge and join a group of industry representatives and leaders, some with no prior knowledge, but soon a group of friends. Thank You, the board needs your enthusiasm, experience, and fresh ideas!

Board of Directors are elected every year at the Annual General Meeting by regular members of the chapter. The Board of Directors is intended to represent all member types and market segments. Executive board positions (President, Vice-President) are automatically filled by the previous years Vice-President.
