Taught by John Maxwell Coach, Trevor Lively. Trevor was born into the irrigation business, growing up as the kid glued to his dad’s hip and always knowing he would one day work at Blue Jay Irrigation. Now entering his 23rd season in the industry in 2026, Trevor has spent his career expanding the company he was raised in. He assumed day-to-day operations in 2011, when Blue Jay consisted of a single location with three service vans and one install crew. In 2016, he partnered with his dad to pursue their shared vision of scaling across Ontario, opening their first new location in 2017. After his father became ill and passed away in 2018, Trevor led his family through the challenges of succession planning before purchasing the business outright in 2019. Since then, he has significantly grown the organization; today, through joint-venture partnerships, Blue Jay operates four locations, has separated their administration team into its own Joint Venture business, and is partnered with a U.S. operating company—collectively running 50 service vans and six install crews. Trevor is married to his wife of 12 years and is the proud father of two girls. In 2023, he became a certified John Maxwell Coach, furthering his mission to live a life of abundance and positively influence his circle of impact.
